The Research Committee is charged with investigating, promoting and facilitating research opportunities that will further the body of knowledge related to health professions advising. The Research committee supports the NAAHP membership and leadership with data to facilitate data driven decisions by NAAHP leadership.

Ongoing Projects (Strategic Objectives)

  • Create, administer, analyze and share finding of an annual membership survey.
  • Liaison with action committees and the Board to administer an annual survey of members to support action committees in shaping their initiatives for the following year.
  • Administer an annual research grant for NAAHP members to fund health professions advising related research.
  • Working on creation of policies and processes for research with membership.

How to Get Involved
Our committee works on two main initiatives, surveys of members that support the organization and an annual research grant that supports health professions advising research. Our committee meets monthly and welcomes members with all levels of
experience with research.
