Membership Cycles

All memberships, regardless of purchase date, expire on October 31st annually.

A new membership cycle begins annually on November 1st.

Renewal notices are automatically distributed every September.

Renewing Your Membership for 2018-2019

  • PLEASE NOTE: NAAHP has recently transitioned to a new membership database and our renewal forms are not yet available. To renew, please click the button below and we will generate an invoice for you that you can pay online. We apologize for any inconveniences.

  • If you have changed institutions, you are encouraged to apply for a new membership.

Review of Membership Categories

  • Please note that the renewal form will pull details from your profile and there will not be as many criteria for you to complete upon renewing**.

  • For more detailed information and form criteria, please visit the Apply for Membership page.

  • All memberships, regardless of purchase date, expire on October 31st annually.

  • If you choose to Pay Later you will receive a confirmation email with an invoice attached. You are responsible for forwarding the invoice to the accounts payable department at your university/association. Your NAAHP membership will automatically terminate if payment is not received within 90 days.


**Pertains to individuals who are renewing membership and were employed with the same institution/organization and job title/position as it applied to the membership the previous year.

Advisor Member

An Advisor member is a health professions advisor that is employed by an accredited undergraduate college or university.

Patron Member

Patron (professional school or health association representative) member is a person employed by an accredited college, university or program that grants a graduate level degree for licensure in a health profession, an association of such a college or institution, or a recognized association of health professionals.

Community College Member

A Community College Advisor member is a health professions advisor that is employed by an accredited 2-year college or program.

Associate Patron Member

An Associate Patron (professional school or health association representative) member is a person employed by an accredited college, university, or program that grants a graduate level degree for licensure in a health profession, an association of such a college or institution, or a recognized association of health professionals that has at least one full Patron member with current membership in NAAHP..

Emeritus Member

An Emeritus member is a person that has retired from health professions advising or admissions and who has been an Advisor or Patron member of NAAHP for at least 5 years before retirement.

New emeritus members must be approved by the NAAHP Membership committee.

An emeritus member who returns to advising for a college or university is no longer eligible for emeritus status and will revert to advisor member status. Members who begin advising either individually or with a company or business that is “for profit” are not eligible for emeritus status. Where the status is uncertain, it will be reviewed by the Executive Director and, if necessary, the Membership Committee, for a decision.
