    Job Description:
    The Pre-Health Professions Institute of Texas Christian University seeks a full-time instructor. This twelve-month position involves designing and teaching courses, writing letters of evaluation, advising, conducting mock interviews and assisting in program administration. The successful candidate will design and teach departmental courses to prepare Pre-Health students to become well-rounded and successful applicants to professional school as well as specialty courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. In addition to teaching, a major duty will include writing letters of evaluation for professional school applicants during the summer. Other duties include advising, conducting mock interviews and assisting in program administration.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    A Ph.D. or equivalent degree (MD, EdD, etc) in an area related to the position is required. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, a statement of teaching philosophy, statement of mentoring/advising philosophy and CV.

    In addition, applicants should arrange for three confidential letters of evaluation to be sent on their behalf. Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring/advising will also be accepted. Applications will be evaluated starting September 23, 2019, for a January 2020 start-date. The search committee is chaired by Dr. Matt Chumchal (m.m.chumchal@tcu.edu).
